Cobra form on the beach

Perhaps you were wondering what the easiest yoga pose was to perfect? Well you’re looking at it, folks. The cobra form consists of laying flat on the ground with the front of your body propped up, as you can see in the picture below. Just be sure to slowly push up with the palm of your hands while maintaining your breathing pattern, exhaling when required.

That can’t be comfortable

This pose looks like something my mother’s cat does quite often. A weird pretzel like twist that if a cat can do then surely so can other beginners! But let’s wait and see what the instructor says before we get in over our heads.

Downward facing dog — the classic

Downward facing dog is a yoga pose almost everyone has heard of. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that it’s a classic and almost anyone can achieve the pose. The benefit of doing a downward facing dog is because it stretches out your back and helps to warm you up for what’s to come.

Those aren’t basketball shorts

It’s always recommended to combine different kinds of work outs to get your body sculpted to perfection. If you’re feeling in a yoga rut, try an intense cardio exercise. Basketball is a great way to showcase your new flexibility and even work your core muscles. I’m not sure about the outfit but hey, to each their own.

The right socks for the job

I am a huge lover of socks. All socks in fact, fuzzy, stripey, polka dots, tall, short, and I could literally continue talking about socks all day but that’s beside the point. Throw on some leg warmers or super tall socks, head on outside, and perfect your yoga technique.

Look deeply into your…abdomen

Here’s what we do know when you are doing this pose, make sure you breath in deep and slowly roll your hips forward and extend your feet as you slowly exhale into the stretch. I’m not sure I understand the benefit of looking into my abdomen but I am sure there is a perfectly good explanation.
