Women in politics in America have made extraordinary strides to break the glass ceiling barrier and we believe that one day, they will. With that being said, we know that the political world, all over the globe, has many talented and respected female politicians in various positions. Not only that but many of these women also happen to be quite photogenic so we’ve pulled together a list of female politicians who not only do exceedingly well in their jobs but who are also as gorgeous as can be.

Meet the Democratic Representative from Hawaii, Tulsi Gabbard, who has been the United States Representative for Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district since 2013. Currently, she’s a front runner to become the next Secretary of State. Now wouldn’t that be a vision?

Let’s see here, Sethrida Geagea is a powerful and popular Lebanese politician and MP who received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. All of these experiences went on to help her strengthen the Lebanese army in the face of Syrian forces. Not bad for someone who is as equally as gorgeous as she is intelligent.

Alina Kabaeva – Russia

What is it with politicians being Olympic champions first? I mean, Alina Kabaeva actually has 2 Olympic medals, 25 European Championship medals, and over a dozen World Championship medals. And if that wasn’t enough for her, she stepped into the political scene as a representative for the United Russia party. Plus, since February of 2008, Kabaeva has been the Chairman of the National Media Group’s Public Council. And we’re fairly certain she hasn’t had to worry about pest control a day in her life.

We’re very happy to introduce to this list Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, the Queen of Jordan. She is a very popular politician, not just in her country but all over the world as she stands for equality and better rights in things such as health, education, and micro finance reform. We should probably mention that you can follow her heavily on social media such as YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. In conclusion, she is also married to King Abdullah bin al-Hussein.

Eunice Olsen – Singapore

Eunice Olsen hails from Singapore and honestly we could talk all day about how gorgeous and generous she really is. Let’s start off by saying that in 2000, she won the Miss Singapore Universe pageant, yeah, we get it. Olsen is also an actress and a TV host, therefore she has no problems hiring someone to sort out replacement windows as we’re sure she’s earned enough. Then in 2004, she was appointed in 2004 as a Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP), hence making her the youngest NMP at just 27. We weren’t joking when we said she’s generous considering she is a champion for people who have disabilities, she’s raising awareness for cervical cancer and AIDS, she’s a fighter for the environment and she works with at risk youth.

Elizabeth Halseth was the youngest woman ever to be elected to serve on the Nevada Senate from 2010 to 2012. Back in 2014, she graduated from Corban University with a degree in psychology, no less. Minnesota congresswoman, Michele Bachmann, may not have the best track record in the polls but she is certainly intelligent. She got her Masters in Tax Law and even served as an attorney for the IRS (Internal Revenue Service). She would resign from this position when she gave birth to her fourth child, although she really doesn’t look like she’s the mother of four!

Yulia Tymoshenko is a fighter who lets nothing get in her way. She fought to become the first woman Prime Minister but unfortunately, she was sentenced to three years in prison for some odd numbered crimes. Many believed, of course, that her imprisonment was highly controversial and a total political hack-job. Don’t fret though because as soon as she was released from jail, she immediately went back into the political ringer.

Julia Bonk was the youngest person to ever start working in the German parliament, as just 18 years of age. She has gone on to make huge strides and is a champion for many women who dream of a career in politics.

Here we have the ever beautiful and very talented “People’s Party” member in Spain, Cayetana Alvarez. When we say Alvarez is talented, we seriously mean it. She graduated with a degree in Modern History from Oxford University (which is one of the most prestigious schools in the world!). She also earned a doctorate, is the author of two published novels and was even named “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum, therefore, she is the true definition of brains and beauty!

Before Vera joined the Social Democratic Party of Austria, she was an Olympic champion. I know, we’re basically cheating by adding her on this list but how could we not?! Almost 20 years ago, back in the 1996 Summer Olympics, Lischka won the 50 meter Breaststroke relay – what have you done in the last 20 years? Maybe we’ll be lucky and she’ll marry Average Joe, the plumber or maybe not.

Even though, Abedin has a very long and rich history in American politics, her name is mixed up in the unfortunate scandals surrounding her former husband, Anthony Weiner. Tariq is also a very dedicated human rights activist, she is easily a rising star in the whole of the Middle East.

Nina Siakhali Moradi is a very educated woman with a degree in Architecture. Due to her education, she took her brains and wit to became a well respected politician. However, in 2013, she was actually disqualified from taking the political office as she was deemed ‘too attractive’. I mean, I don’t even know how to respond to that.

Belinda Stronach – Canada

Belinda Stronach is a Canadian powerhouse. First of all, she is a businesswoman, a philanthropist and a former politician. She has been long recognized as an emerging leader with vision. In 2001, the National Post named her as the most powerful businesswoman in Canada. Later that year, the World Economic Forum named her a “Global Leader of Tomorrow”. Then back in 2002, she was actually ranked #2 by Fortune Magazine in its annual list of the world’s most powerful women in business. She was also named one of Canada’s “Top 40 Under 40”, an annual award that honors the country’s most promising young leaders. All of these propelled her into stardom in Canadian politics as a result, she was the Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development and Minister responsible for Democratic Renewal in the government of Paul Martin. Brains and beauty are a powerful combination.

Hina Rabbani Khar is nothing short of a bombshell. She will forever be most recognized as Pakistan’s 26th Foreign Minster, an honor not many have the pleasure to hold. In 2014, Sheridan Esterfany entered into the House of Representatives and would land a crucial electoral victory to land in Congress. She isn’t afraid to fight and be vocal. Therefore, don’t think that just because she’s tiny that she’s a pushover. Esterfany is a massive part of the opposition that is pushing to impeach Dilma Rousseff, the President of Brazil. We can’t wait to see what she does next.

Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner is often referred to by her initials, CFK, and that’s pretty cool. She was the first woman to be elected president of Argentina and she served as such from 2007 to 2015. She’s also a former lawyer and politician. Therefore, we are sure she’ll be making headlines before we know it.

Not many believed that anyone could ever be more successful as the New York Senator than Hillary Clinton but it happened. As soon as Clinton went on to become Secretary of State, Kirsten Gillibrand was her replacement. As a result, she was re-elected in 2012 with 72% of the vote. She carried on in this position for another six year term. Remarkable.

Marianne Thieme is a force to be reckoned with because she’s a politician, animal rights activist and author. Thieme is very bright as she studied Law in France and in the Netherlands. As a result of her studies, she became a vegetarian. This is important to know. In 2006, she assumed the role of Parliamentary Leader for the Party for the Animals in the Netherlands. After that she became an MP in the House of Representatives.

Louise Mensch – United Kingdom

Louise Mensch is a very successful English politician and published author. She won the seat of Corby in Parliament and held her position from 2010 to 2012. She also served on the Select Committee for the Department of Culture, Media and Sport. Mensch is very vocal in support of “reality-based feminism”. And when we mentioned that she’s a published author, did we tell you that she’s published 17 novels so far. Currently she is running the news website, Heat Street.

Gabriela Cuevas Barron – Mexico

Barron is a very popular Mexican politician who serves on the National Action Party (PAN) of Mexico. She was enrolled as a political science major at the Autonomous Technical Institute of Mexico. However she dropped out to join PAN. That’s pretty ambitious. She has also been an active member of PAN since 1994 and has occupied various positions, including the head of PAN. Since 2012, she has been the Senator of the State of Mexico. Not bad!

Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic is currently the 4th President of Croatia. Most noteworthy is that she’s the FIRST woman in Europe to defeat an incumbent president who ran for re-election. Color me impressed. This year, Forbes magazine even named her the world’s 46th most powerful woman. Seems that she’s got a very bright future ahead of her.
