We all experienced having a debate with other people because we thought that the character we watched was the worst one. We knew that directors tried to improve the plot of the series by introducing a new character, but they failed in making the program appealing. We would talk about some feelings that ruined the T.V. shows. We hoped that our favorite character was not on this list.
Cindy – Three’s Company
In the fifth season of Three’ Company, Cindy Snow was introduced in the show. Cindy joined the show when Suzanne Somers left the program. The producer thought that if they let Cindy, who played by Jenilee Harrison, would make the program’s story fascinating. However, the only thing that Cindy did in the show was to annoy the fans. Her role had an annoying and silly personality. Later the actress had found a suitable part in Dallas.
Randy Pearson – That ’70s Show
In the eighth season of the show titled That ’70s show, many fans fated the additional character of the show. Josh Meyers played Randy Pearson, and his character was the replacement of Eric, who played Topher Grace. Randy started to date Donna and was working at the record stone together with Hyde. However, the character did not meet the fans’ expectations, which made them dislike the character.
Seven – Married… With Children
Seven was not recognized by the people and ended up a missing person in the show. We could also see his face in a milk carton. Seven was the seventh child of Zemus Wanker and Ida Mae. The character appeared in the show’s seventh season, but the fans thought his character was annoying. Many viewers did not like the boy’s personality, making the producer decide to remove his character.
Nellie Bertram – The Office
The first appearance of Catherine Tate in the show The Office was in the seventh season. The character was featured as a guest, but we could watch her in the next season. Nellie was the reason why Andy was terminated, and the character was known as the horrible boss. The actress was great at performing her role, but Nellie and Andy decided to get along with each other in the ninth season, making some fans love her role.
Ted Mosby – How I Met Your Mother
Ted Mosby might be the main character of How I Met Your Mother, but many viewers did not like his character. Ted was played by Josh Radnor and worked in the program for nine seasons. However, the fans thought that Ted was too sensitive. According to Aiden Mason of T.V. Over Mind, “type of guy that guys can’t stand—and women can’t either.” Tedmosbysucks.com was a website that was created by some of his haters.
Wesley Crusher – Star Trek: The Next Generation
Wesley Crusher was a character on Star Trek: The Next Generation. The character was featured for the first four seasons, but Wesley occasionally appeared in the show in the later season because of the viewers’ negative comments. Viewers thought that his character was prideful and disdainful. However, the writers did not consider that the young people would watch the show.
Nikki And Paolo – Lost
In the E! Online, Nikki and Paolo were considered the “Worst TV Couples Ever.” The fans of the show did not like the characters. They thought that their storyline had no connection with the crew, which made the show confusing. The two had a few appearances in the show since they were paralyzed and burned alive. Nikki and Paolo also killed someone before they came onto the island. Even the Showrunner Damon Lindelof did not like the two characters.
Priya Koothrappali – The Big Bang Theory
Priya Koothrappali was played by Aarti Mann and the younger sister of Raj. The viewers thought that she would be going to be the main antagonist of the season. Aarti’s character was a corporate lawyer, and the viewers did not like her character when it appeared in the series. One reason was when Priya cheated Leonard, and the separation appeared in episode seven of season five. We could also watch that Priya and Penny had a bad relationship with each other.
Cousin Oliver – The Brady Bunch
Robbie Rist acted as Cousin Oliver on the show The Brady Bunch. Unfortunately, many viewers did not like his character. Later in the show, the character had a reputation as “Cousin Oliver Syndrome.” The viewers thought that the character was a typecast and only made the show horrible. Cousin was only causing trouble in the series. Today said the Cousin had “killed’ the series.
Stephanie Mills – All In The Family
Stephanie Mills was a child character that the fans did not like. Stephanie was the niece of Archie Bunker in the show All in the Family. However, she had a tragic backstory. Her dad was a drunkard and left her. It made the viewers feel that the character was not welcome in the show. The viewers thought that Stephanie would ruin the balance of the performance. However, some people believed her character was to contradict the liberal perception of Archie.
Emily – Friends
Emily was a character in Friends, and the viewers loved her. However, the fans started to hate her when the character stole Ross from Rachel. Emily and Ross were about to get married, but the man accidentally said “Rachel.” Since then, Emily became jealous and did something fans did not want, like moving to London and cutting his ties with his friends. We could tell that Emily did something to dismay the fans.
Nathan Riggs – Grey’s Anatomy
According to Ellen Pompeo, many viewers hated the character since it was not planned by the writers properly. At first, Ellen’s character was interested in Patrick Dempsey’s character. However, after Patrick’s character left the program. The viewers knew that Nathan Riggs, played by Martin Henderson, would appear in the show. Later, Ellen said that ABC made a mistake by this kind of scene.
Billie – Charmed
Many fans of The Big Bang Theory liked Kaley Cuoco, and because of the show, she became a well-known celebrity in the industry. Unfortunately, it was not the same when Penny played Billie in Charmed. Penny has played the role since the first episode of the eighth season. Since the start, the viewers did not like her character, but it only worsened when she finally reunited with her sister and decided to join the villain’s side.
Reagan Lucas – New Girl
Raegan Lucas, who played by Megan Fox on New Girl, was disliked by the viewers. The people disliked her character because they thought that it had a “gross behavior.” However, not all the news was accurate, and Reagan left the program after breaking up with Nick. The reason why they separated was that they could not show their genuine emotions. Reagan had a calm and confident personality.
Dawn Summers – Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Michelle Trachtenberg played Dawn Summers as the sister of Buffy on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The actress was great at performing her role, but the viewers did not like it. The fans were dissatisfied with her introduction since she was featured in the fifth season, and Dawn had a significant role in the story. They also did not like Dawn because they get annoyed every time the character complained.
Castiel – Supernatural
There might be some audiences who would disagree with this character. Castiel was one of the characters in the show that appeared during the fifth season. There were many things that the fans disliked. Viewers did not like how Castiel took Leviathan’s souls and self-proclaimed that he was a God. There were times that Lucifer had taken control of the character’s body and was called “Casifer.”
Ramsay Bolton – Game Of Thrones
The Atlantic said that Ramsay Bolton was “the worst character on television.” The viewers were also agreed with what The Atlantic had said. The fans could not accept the crime that he committed in the series. If we remembered the tortured man named Theon Greyjoy, then we might be those people who hate the character. After Ramsay tortured Theon, the man’s hair became white, and his weight also decreases.
Criss Chros – 30 Rock
Criss Chros was featured in the episode called “Idiots are People Two!” James Marden had played the character, but fans thought that Liz Lemon should be the one who should be playing the role. Criss was featured as a hot dog vendor who was studying ethnomusicology. After he became a part of the group, there were many hate comments on Twitter. However, some viewers thought that Criss should be paired with an individual who was not an overachiever.
Marc Brendanawicz – Parks And Recreation
Many viewers loved Leslie Knope in the show Parks and Recreation. It was the reason why the fans did not like Mark Brendanawicz, a regular cast for two seasons. However, many fans had sighed a relief when Marc had decided to leave the program after the second season. The actor left Parks and Recreation because of “creative differences” in his character. It would be best for the show since Leslie and Ben were a fantastic pair.
Scrappy Doo – Scooby-Doo
At the time, Scooby-Doo’s ratings decreased during the 1970s and 1980s, Hanna-Barbera decided to spice things up by letting Scrappy-Doo join the cast. Scrappy was the nephew of Scooby-Doo, and because of the additional character, increased the show’s rating. Not long after, the viewers thought Scrappy had a problem with its behavior, making them dislike the character. In the live-action of Scooby-Doo, they made Scrappy-Doo, a villain.
Cole Aaronson – Scrubs
We could tell that Cole Aaronson of Scrubs was created to be disliked by the viewers. Cole was played by Dave Franco and had a disrespectful personality. In the story, he only became an intern because of his parents, the hospital’s owner. Cole also tried to hurt Denise, and he was proud of it since he could get away with the help of his parents. Some lines were witty, but the viewers still hated Dave’s character.
Madison ‘Badison’ Murphy – Orange Is The New Black
Some fans had created the Orange Is the New Black fandom since they hate the character named Madison. The Guardian said that Madison was “the most annoying character on television.” Also, the character had a reputation called “Badison.” In the sixth season, the character was featured as a villain, and fans hated Madison because of being selfish. There were many villains that the fans did not like, but Madison became the most hated villain of all.
Screech – Saved By The Bell: The College Years
Screech had been played by Dustin Diamond and appeared during season one of Saved by the Bell: The College Years. Unfortunately, it was also his last season playing his role in the program. At first, the fans loved his character in the original series. However, because of repeating in college, the fans disliked his character. The actor said to the interview that the writers had planned to “destroy” the character.
Declan Porter – Revenge
Declan Porter was the younger brother of Jack on the program titled Revenge. Declan was also the boyfriend of Charlotte Clarke and would always try to encourage his brother to go out with Emily. Unfortunately, Declan died in a bomb attack when he learned that he had a child with Charlotte. It might be a tragic ending for his character, but the fans did not like Declan since he had odd hair and always complained.
Hades – Once Upon A Time
Greg German played Hades on the show called Once Upon a Time. However, the viewers did not like the relationship between Hades and Zelena. Hades had caused chaos in the program. He was trying to get the title of King of the Underworld again. Hades tried to use Zelena for his plan, but Hades failed since Zelena found out everything and decided to kill Hades with the use of crystal.
Lila West – Dexter
We could say that nobody liked Lila West in Dexter. Lila was an evil and insane character in the show. Many viewers were happy when Lila died when Dexter killed her in some isolated location, but those fans did not enjoy watching the second season because of her personality. Some viewers liked her as an antagonist, but most viewers did not accept that Dexter loved this kind of person.
Maya Herrera – Heroes
Maya Herrera might not be an evil character in the Heroes, but she had an odd ability. Maya had a superpower that would make every human near her be affected by a lethal poison. Every time Maya activated her superpower, her eyes would become black, and she would cry with black tears. The only thing who could deactivate her power was her brother. There were also times that Maya could not control her power.
April Nardini – Gilmore Girls
April Nardini was the reason why Luke and Lorelai decided to separate. Unfortunately, April was Luke’s daughter. Vanessa Marano, who played April in the show. The actress did not like her character. Vanessa might not be happy playing as April, but her role would help her to improve her career. For Vanessa, she did not care that the fans hated her if it would be good for her career.
Andy Bernard – The Office
The fans hated another cast from The Office. Andy Bernard was played by Ed Helps and was loved by the viewers until the ninth season. The reputation of the character was ruined because of Nellie Bertram. Andy decided to leave Erin and went to Florida to chase the girl. Because of his action, Andy was fired from his work. Later, Andy agreed to participate in a boat trip, but in the end, he left his team to become an actor-singer.
April Rhodes – Glee
Some of the fans loved April Rhodes, but some of them felt the opposite. April was the previous star who participated in the club that appeared in the first season. However, some viewers thought that April was an annoying and terrible cast of the show. According to Buzzfeed, April was “dumb, so annoying, [and] selfish.” The NY Times also said that her April was an “inconsistent” member of the show.
Anna – One Tree Hill
The viewers of One Tree Hill liked all the show’s cast, but there was a single person that they did not like, and that was Anna Taggaro. The Screen Rant shared that Anna did not leave an impact on the fans of the show. The fans could not watch her and Lucas since they thought they did not have any chemistry together. Anna did not become a great friend to Payton. Because of those reasons, the character was disliked by the fans.
Joffrey – Game Of Thrones
We knew that there were many terrible characters in the film titled Game of Thrones. However, most of the fans did not like Joffrey since he was a spoiled and selfish king. His personality was like a kid that was a bully and became a king. In the early episode of the series, Joffrey was only an annoying character, but later, he became a murderer. After being poisoned by Olenna Tyrell, many people were glad that their king was dead.
Jenny Humphries – Gossip Girl
Nobody liked Jenny Humphries, a cast on the Gossip Girl. The show might have many ill-mannered characters, but Jenny was the most irritating person in that film. Only a few viewers could watch her personality in the show. Jenny was always doing the same thing, like she would do something about her family, realizing her mistake and trying to create some reparations. Then Jenny would be going to repeat it.
3J – Family Matters
Orlando Brown played Jerry Jamal Jameson in Family Matter. His character was also known as 3J. However, later in the show, 3J became an addict, and many viewers disliked what he did. According to Culture, 3J was an “annoying character” that needed to be added to the show to “boost ratings.” Orlando’s character was featured in season eight, and in season nine, the reputation of 3J became a “The Steve Urkel Show.”
Nicky And Alex – Full House
We all knew that Nicky and Alex Katsopolis were adorable, but they were not the character who was adored by the show’s fans. We could not understand the two if we did not have any subtitles. Nicky and Alex were the kids of Uncle Jesse, and they were not bad kids like Michelle Tanner. Another character had a terrible attitude and usually messed his instruments. Many viewers thought that the character had the worst behavior in the show.
Gertrude – Frasier
The writer wanted to make Gertrude Moon hated by all the fans. Gertrude was a guest who overstayed in the house where Daphne and Niles were staying. Gertrude got work at a cafe, but everyone did not like her. The actress who played Gertrude was Millicent Martin, and she performed it flawlessly. However, the character was always complaining and a bully. It was the reason why the viewers disliked the character.
Dana Brody – Homeland
Dana Brody from Homeland did not escape the Netizens’ criticisms, and The Daily Beast reported that Dana Brody was “T.V.’s most annoying character.” Morgan Saylor portrayed the whiny teen and mentioned that she wanted to “provoke fans.” The audience thought that Dana Brody was annoying because she always put on the same expression. Buzzfeed went the extra mile of listing down her expressions, and it all looked the same.
Janine – Friends
Janine showed up in Friends as Joey’s roommate, and the show’s fans did not like her despite only appearing in five episodes in the fifth season. The main reason was that Janine tried to break the group by telling Joey how she did not like being with Monica and Chandler. Janine described the couple as too “blah,” and Janine was too loud. It was fortunate that Joey thought otherwise.
Marina Nunier – Elite
Marina Nunier was one of the least popular characters in Elite, a new Spanish high school drama. Marina Nunier dated Samuel, but their relationship ended when he realized that the child’s father was his brother. The fans branded Marina Nunier as too sneaky, and it was unfortunate that her character ended up dying in the end. But worry not because we would not tell who killed her.
Paige Jennings – The Americans
Paige Jennings was branded as “the most hated character” on The Americans by NJ.com. It was a show centering on spies, and the least-liked character was the main character’s teen daughter. It was possible that the fans hated her sweaters, ugly jeans, or the fact that she would recite her accomplishments even though no one bothered to ask. The show was branded as a critical darling, but it still failed to fare well in ratings.
Dr. Jo Wilson – Grey’s Anatomy
Dr. Jo Wilson from Grey’s Anatomy usually had a cool and calm demeanor, but there were times when Dr. Jo was the opposite. Dr. Jo Wilson had difficulties in expressing what she truly felt and decided to bottle up her feelings. Most of the fans thought that Dr. Jo Wilson’s attitude was annoying. Camilla Luddington played Dr. Jo Wilson and was also the one who starred as Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider games.
Hazel Wassername – 30 Rock
Kristen Schaal portrayed Hazel Wassername in 30 Rock. During an interview, Liz Lemon mentioned that the character was “just another weird page.” The side character was added to the cast to spice things up, but the fans preferred Kenneth over Hazel. Hazel wanted Liz to herself and did not redeem the character, so E.W. launched a campaign to bring Kenneth back and write off her character.
Marie – Breaking Bad
Marie Schrader was one of Breaking Bad’s most annoying characters, and the show’s fans branded her as pretentious, neurotic, and worrying. Marie thought of herself as better than others despite being a kleptomaniac made things worse for the character. Most people thought it was more annoying than dealing meth. The audience also considered that Marie was messed up for telling Walt to end his life.
Tori – Saved By The Bell
Tori showed up in Saved By the Bell’s fifth season and was portrayed to be annoying. Funny or Die made a skit about Tori asking her why she was not invited to the Saved By The Bell reunion special. The main reason was that the fans hated her. Leanna Creel was supposed to replace Tiffani Thiesen and Elizabeth Berkley, but it was one of their worse decisions.
Andrea – The Walking Dead
The television show The Walking Dead had been one of the shows that had a high turnover rate, and it might be why fans were not fond of some of the characters. Most of the fans did not know the backstories of several characters, and one of them was Andrea, portrayed by Laurie Holden. Andrea had several appearances with overs, and the fans branded the character as annoying and without value.
CJ – 8 Simple Rules
David Spade joined 8 Simple Rules’ cast in 2004, where he portrayed Cate Hennessy’s nephew named C.J. The character always got in trouble and was a bad influence on his cousins. The character also had a lot of trouble on the show, and no one could differentiate whether the fans hated the actor or the character. C.J. might have been a deviation from the standard sitcom cast, but it was not enough for the novelty to last.
Sherloque Wells – The Flash
Sherloque Wells was branded to be a polarizing character when the fans started the Sherloque hate post. Sherloque Wells was Harrison’s doppelganger in The Flash, but the fans deemed him too one-dimensional to be the main antagonist. We could not find any redeeming qualities from Sherloque Wells, especially when he revealed Nora’s secret to everyone. It was reported that the actor, Cavanaugh, had doubts about his character’s longevity.
Kennedy – Buffy The Vampire Slayer
It might be good news that Willow fell in love again even though she lost Tara, but it was unfortunate that it had to be with Kennedy. Kennedy was a potential slayer who was known to be rude and arrogant, but it might be the writers’ fault for hoping to flesh her out. Kennedy made the first move with Willow, but everyone was surprised that the girl returned his feelings.
Cousin Rose – Downton Abbey
Cousin Rose chose to hide the truth about Lord Sinderby’s adultery because it was “totally against the rules of feminism.” It was unfortunate that she did not show up in the movie because she moved to New York. Lily James portrayed the character and said that she could not participate in the film because there was “no space.” We knew that Cousin Rose married Atticus, and the couple had their honeymoon in Venice.
